Lowepro camcorder bag and Manfrotto tripod part 1

This article explains how to use a Lowepro camcorder or video camera bag with a Manfrotto 718B travel camcorder\camera tripod attached to it, hopefully the article will be useful for video makers, film makers and photographers

Camcorder bags usually have a single large compartment, but camera bags and camera backpacks usually have several small compartments, instead.
These compartments are divided by temporary walls, or ‘dividers’, which can be moved around.
Although a camcorder bag might not have any dividers, it’s it’s pretty easy to make these, or just pack plenty of soft cloths around the camera, lens, etc., to protect them.

Camcorder bag and tripod

This Lowepro camcorder bag seems to have two possible places where the Manfrotto 718B tripod can be attached to it. One place is a couple of straps at the top of the bag and the other place is another couple of straps at the bottom of the bag.
The straps at the bottom of the bag seem to be the ‘official’ place to attach a tripod, but more about that in the next article.
The photo shows a Manfrotto 718B tripod attached to the straps at the top of the camcorder bag, which I guess is the unofficial place.
It’s unofficial because the straps aren’t very long, they are only long enough to wrap around one leg of the tripod.
The problem with this is, it might not be a good idea to treat a tripod like this – to carry it around with only one leg secured to the camcorder bag, it might damage the tripod in some way.
But it does have one advantage, and that is, the tripod doesn’t swing and bump against the body.
